The wines I review come from bottle shops, supermarkets, restaurants and sometimes the cellar door. They're all good local Kiwi wine which I rate on quality and value.

Aroma: Peppery, cranberry and red currant
Color: Royal purple, blackberry red
Consistency: Round hills and fat legs
Taste: Pepper and green olives
Cost: $NZ From the cellar
Quality rating: 8
Final words: Deceptively pure and simple perfection.
